Molded Wood Core
Layers of wood substrate are molded together and heat-pressed into shape during pre-construction. Molding this heavy-duty, 1 1/4" thick core material at over 180 degrees Fahrenheit provides a solid feel and will maintain the ramp shape forever.
Aluminum Framing
All structural supports, extrusions, and deck framing utilized on the larger products are made from light-weight aluminum which provides maximum strength and durability without the threat of rust or deterioration.
Protective Enclapsulation
This protective material is bonded to the wood core and covers every inch of the ramp, protecting against harmful Ultra-Violet rays, moisture, and excessive heat. It also gives athletes a smooth, hard surface that makes for great riding.
Rubber Components
Everything that touches the skate surface is protected with a component made from recycled rubber, which increases safety by preventing the ramps from skidding during use. On the leading edge of each ramp are Transition Boots which protect the surface, the ramps, the athletes, and the environment by reducing friction, dampening noise, and absorbing shock.
Fastening Components
SunRamps are constructed with zinc-plated bolts and lock nuts that create a tight seal and stay put, eliminating hazards from screws that can pop out or loosen from traditional ramps.
Grind Rails & Coping
All steel rails, both free standing products and those attached to ramps and boxes, are powder-coated and end-capped to minimize maintenance and maximize safety.
